Power only tracks, generally referred to as overhead chain conveyors consist of a c section track or fabricated cruciform section for the heavy-duty option. Within the track sections runs a bi-planar chain generally rivetted together with load and guide bearings and swinging or fixed pendant for attaching the product to be conveyed.
The chain is driven by a specially designed drive unit with a caterpillar type drive chain or toothed drive sprocket. The drive chain or sprocket is connected to an AC or DC electric geared motor which in turn is controlled by an inverter / controller either an IP 66 mounted locally or within a control panel.
The conveyor track and components are generally supported by support steelwork but can be hung from roof supports where suitable.
Trakmaster 304
The Trakmaster 304 runs in a 41mm square track and have a maximum load capacity of 25Kg per pendant or 50Kg per m. With a pendant & bearing pitch of 152mm it favors small products in high quantities and has the flexibility for tight radii bends and applications where space is restricted.
