Inverted Chain

Inverted chain conveyors are a practical and efficient solution for moving products through manufacturing and finishing environments where items need to be supported from below rather than suspended overhead. Typically mounted at floor level or just above ground, these systems secure products on top of a shaft or spigot positioned along the conveyor track. This design offers excellent stability and easy access throughout the production process.

Ideal for specialist finishing applications, inverted chain conveyors are especially popular in alloy wheel refurbishment as well as glass and plastic bottle handling, where secure positioning and smooth movement are essential.

What Is an Inverted Chain Conveyor?

An inverted chain conveyor is a floor-mounted material handling system that carries products on top of a shaft, spindle, or spigot attached to the conveyor chain. Unlike overhead systems, where products hang beneath the track, inverted conveyors transport items from below, providing a stable platform and easier operator access.

This makes them particularly effective in processes such as coating, painting, inspection, drying, and finishing, where products need to remain securely positioned while being accessed from multiple angles.

Common Applications for Inverted Chain Conveyors

Alloy Wheel Refurbishment
Inverted conveyors are widely used in alloy wheel refurbishment facilities, allowing wheels to be securely mounted and moved through cleaning, coating, drying, and finishing stages with precision and consistency.

Glass Bottle Finishing
For glass bottle production and finishing, inverted chain conveyors help transport bottles smoothly while maintaining stability throughout decoration, inspection, or treatment processes.

Plastic Bottle Handling
These systems are also ideal for plastic bottle finishing lines, supporting lightweight products efficiently and ensuring consistent movement through production stages.

Key Benefits of Inverted Chain Conveyors

Stable product support – Products are securely mounted from below for reliable handling

Improved access – Floor-level positioning allows easier access for operators and automated equipment

Smooth transport – Delivers consistent movement through each stage of the process

Versatile applications – Suitable for a wide range of finishing and refurbishment environments

Custom-built design – Can be tailored to suit product size, layout, and workflow requirements

Efficient use of space – Low-level installation integrates easily into existing production areas

Low maintenance – Durable construction designed for dependable long-term performance

Whether you need a conveyor for alloy wheel refurbishment, bottle finishing, or another specialist handling application, inverted chain conveyors provide a secure and efficient solution that improves workflow and supports high-quality results.
